Frequently Asked Questions
What are the benefits of Karate for young children?
Little Ninjas builds focus, listening, coordination and early confidence through fun, active classes. Most parents notice their child calmer and more settled at home within the first few weeks.
Will my child need to purchase any equipment?
Nothing for the free trial. Just comfortable clothes and a water bottle. Once your child joins, we'll sort out their uniform and belt for you.
Is Karate safe for a young child?
Yes. Our Little Ninjas classes are built around age-appropriate drills and controlled movement, run by qualified instructors who keep a close eye on every child. Safety comes first at every stage.
What should my child wear to their first class?
Comfortable activewear is fine for the first class. When you join, we'll arrange your child's gi (uniform) and belt.
How often should my child attend?
For young beginners, one to two classes a week is plenty. It's enough to build steady progress without overwhelming them. We'll help you find a rhythm that suits your family.
How much does it cost?
The first class is free, so you can see if it's right for your child before spending a cent. From there we have a few simple membership options, and we'll walk you through them in person so you can pick what suits your family.
Give Your Child A Start They'll Remember
You don't have to decide anything today. Book the free trial, bring your child down to IMC Engadine, and see how they take to it. If they love it, we'll talk about next steps. If it's not the right fit, that's fine too. The first class is on us either way.
