8 TIPS TO HELP YOUR CHILD PASSES THEIR UPCOMING GRADING AT IMC ENGADINE - Karate/Kickboxing School

    1. Positive Mindset As a parent, its fine to want your child to succeed – we want them to succeed too! However, from our experience, children don’t cope well with pressure. Make sure your encouraging them to “enjoy yourself” and “do your best”, rather than saying “try harder” or overloading them with advice. 2. Maximise Class Time The best place to be, to ensure success is in IN THE DOJO! In the lessons coming up to grading, classes will become slightly more intense to make sure IMC students are as prepared as possible. The more often you can make it to class, the better your child will perform. 3. Syllabus Our official ....

DOES YOUR CHILD HAVE ATTENTION OR LEARNING ISSUES? HERE ARE 5 WAYS MARTIAL ARTS CAN GIVE THEM THE EDGE AT IMC ENGADINE

We frequently have doctors refer parents to IMC as a means of development for their child that may be dealing with learning and attention issues. Here are five reasons that Martial Arts makes a great match for them:
Martial Arts focuses on individual growth, not on team competition. Many kids with learning and attention issues struggle with the pressure of having to compete with other kids. So traditional sports may not appeal to them. But at IMC, the focus is on self-improvement. There’s no “letting down the team”.
There is an emphasis on self-control and concentration. Attention is central to martial arts. Kids must stay focused to learn and to perform. As they are ....

Here are a few reasons why this way of working out can actually deliver the changes you have been looking for: 1. Community The gym can more often than not be a solitary endeavour. Martial Arts is quite the opposite. Martial Artists work together to achieve their goals, to share success and encourage each other. You will find you become friends with people at your Martial Arts school, even if you’re more used to ....
